However, amidst rapid tourism development, a significant challenge arises: maintaining a balance between exploitation and preservation. Through the Nusa Penida Festival 2025, we present a space to celebrate cultural heritage, natural beauty, and the spirit of the community, while emphasizing our commitment to sustainability. The theme “The Soul of Tomorrow” was chosen to symbolize the spirit of Nusa Penida, which must be passed on to future generations. The festival also serves as a platform for collaboration between the government, communities, businesses, academics, youth, and tourists to strengthen Nusa Penida’s image as a world-class sustainable tourism destination.
ACTIVITY OBJECTIVES
1. Introduce Nusa Penida as a sustainable tourism destination.
2. Preserve and promote local arts, culture, and wisdom.
3. Increase public awareness of the importance of protecting the environment, especially the ocean.
4. Build a cross-sector collaborative network (government, community, private sector, and tourists).
5. Become an annual event that can encourage the creative economy and community-based tourism.

Soul: The essence of Nusa Penida’s nature and culture, which is its primary identity.
Tomorrow: The hope and responsibility to preserve it so that it remains sustainable for future generations to enjoy.
This philosophy emphasizes that Nusa Penida’s future can only be built by preserving its core spirit: the harmony of nature, culture, and humanity.
